O The Overstay

The Overstay is a hub for backpackers looking to get in contact with the local cultural scene. More than just a hostel we organize cultural events and art exhbition. Facilities include: free wi-fi, pool table, live band setup, and kitchen for guest. Definetly not a 'hello-goodbye' place but a vibrant exchange places for the artsy type. Our relaxed roof top and street art makes our charm.
We are in pinklao not far from the historical center with buses 203 and 56 stoping in front of The Overstay. we are on the main road of charan sanit wong near and on the same side of the soi 40. you can go on google map and look for the overstay to get a better idea (or print the map)
Tips for people coming from The Airport :
Only get into a cab with meter and it should cost no more than 400 including the toll way (70 baht).
My way is go to the departure level and jump into a cab that just sent someone , you save 50 baht of airport surcharge..
Bus 556 (1 hour)cost only 35 baht to come from the airport. Stop at Pata pinklao and walk to charan soi 40.
Charan Sanitwong Rd. (near Charan Sanitwong soi 40)
More directions: we are on the main road 100 m before the intersection of soi 40 and charan sanit wong. Next to Hua Chiew clinic.

Fun hostel with a great staff, and an amazing owner. Close to most major bus routes around BKK - for cheap transport through the city. Free pool, fantastic music, theme nights and parties. If you're uptight, or afraid to get to know cool people from around the world, you may want to stay somewhere else. But if you want to have fun while in Bangkok, the Overstay is THE place to stay.
