Located in the heart of the city in a fully renovated royal mansion built by the Hapsburg dynasty, the Maverick Hostel is waiting for you in its original magnificence. Because of our central location, unnecessary travel can be spared. Most of the city's attractions can be reached within 15 minutes. Furthermore, the famous ruin bars and other exciting night programmes are just 10 minutes away on foot.

You can find a wide range of rooms in our hostel, from unique dormitories to intimate double rooms with private bathrooms. There are no bunk beds here; instead, there’s free towel and bed linen for all our guests.

You can use our fully equipped kitchens, lounge areas, TV and free Internet on every floor. We offer free tea and coffee in the dining areas all day long.

As a result of our own experiences in hostels abroad we pay special attention to cleanliness and calmness. Our accommodating staff help creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Social events on Wednesdays and Saturdays have been much enjoyed by many of our guest over the years.

Maverick ensuites - double rooms with private bathrooms
Each of our 5 double bed rooms on the top floor has a private bathroom and cable TV. All the rooms and the shared lounge with a kitchen have unique innovative decoration and a very comfortable setup. An extra bed can be added upon request.

Mr Green- dormitory
We have 10 beds surrounded with green plants in the dormitory, from which 4 are on the loft. If you are in the mood for reading, do not hesitate to use our free library.

Mss Peach- 5 beds
When you wake up in the room that has 5 beds, you will be greeted by a wounderful fireplace and a soft light shining through the unique mosaic window. Would you like to enjoy this experience?

Mr and Mss Yellow- double room
Our intimate double bed room with TV is designed for couples primarily. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Ms Lemon- double room
Our intimate double bed room with TV is designed for couples primarily. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The Blue Brothers- 6 beds
This is our other loft room with 3 beds on the ground and 3 more upstairs. Due to its setup it is perfect for a group of friends that would enjoy the vibe of a cozy room with an ancient fireplace.
