Hostel Egon is by the Vltava river bank on the site, where the famous expressionist Egon Schiele painted his Krumlov houses. It is situated in an old mysterious building, exactly like those on his oil paintings, not far from the city centre.
It is only a small house, offering two four bed dorms and one 3bed private room, a great breakfast terrace and garden terrace with BBQ above the hostel.
Our programme involves canoe and raft rental for Vltava river and bikes for rent are here too. (you can start directly in front of the hostel doors!!) We will recommend you the trip and explain all you need. We can also arrange horse riding on the nearby farm. More information about boats and bikes you can find on our websites.
Upon your arrival you will recieve a free map and the most precious info, how to survive in Cesky Krumlov!!
Please notice that from September to April check-in is until 7 pm ( 19:00)!!! If you are late, you risk loose a beds.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR ARRIVAL TIME !!!!! When you have troubles and you are early or late, send text message or call 00420 606 609 811 - without exception !! Rarely we can wait one or two hours after check-in, but you have to tell us before and still is not definitive.

It\'s hard to locate in a bad location in Cesky Krumlov because it\'s so small. Egon\'s as far as you can possibly get from the main tourist area, yet it\'s only 10min walk away. Egon is good because it is situated on the edge of town, beside the areas where the locals stay, so it is quieter and has a less touristy atmosphere. Be warned, though - the shower at the top floor is hard to use because of the slanting roof. We had to crouch down to shower. Highly irritating. Jian Wei, from Singapore ~ 22nd Sep 2012

Once you find the place, its easy to walk into the city. It is located right next to a boat rental place and you can rent bikes as well. It is also very easy to take public transit to the bus station when you leave. The staff here was super friendly and spoke english. Nicole, from USA ~ 14th Aug 2012
