Posada Maura is a colonial style house of 1850 and has been hosting guests from all over the world for 50 years. The hostel is located just 5 blocks from the centre of Guadalajara.
The atmosphere of this hostel is comfortable, pleasant and calm. We offer single and twin rooms.
The hostel also has a dining room and a common area when you can relax and meet other travellers. We also offer laundry service and a barbeque area.
Very near to the hostel you'll find all the kind of services you could need to make the most of your stay in Guadalajara: banks, bus stops, airport and consulates are close due to the location of the house.

The hostel is also the home of a very friendly, very helpful Mexican family.They gave me free breakfast one morning, a discount on my room that I didn\'t ask for, ordered me a taxi to the airport, and woke up at 4am just to make sure I got that taxi on time.The whole place is very clean and comfortable with fast, free wifi, and secure locks everywhere. The owners were amazing, so nice, so friendly. I had my own little room, with a nice terrace that I sat on while I read. Peace and quiet were what I was looking for, and that is what I got....highly recommended! Matthew, from USA ~ 20th Jun 2011
