Mavi Guesthouse is a small, friendly guesthouse located in the heart of Sutanahmet, Istanbul just a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Underground Cistern and Topkapi Palace.
There are also tram stops, bus stations, ferries, and airport shuttle stops, making it easy to get to all of the sights of Istanbul and beyond.
The hostel offers private rooms, dorm beds and even ROOFTOP bunks which is ideal for a large group cater for up to 25. The rooftop has shower and toilet facilities. It is the only hostel with a large rooftop dormitory and the view of surrounding areas in Hagia Sophia. Breakfast is included with all accommodation, which you can enjoy outside on the terrace while chatting to fellow travelers.
The hostels Friendly Staff will be happy to help arrange tours in both Istanbul and all around Turkey, provide helpful tips and information about the city, and help with any other of your travel needs. The staff at Mavi guesthouse were fantastic, they were really lovely people. That didn\'t really make up for the state that the bathrooms were constantly in though, there was a pool of water on the floor of the toilet (just the 1 toilet for the whole floor) constantly, and it stunk. They were not nice and in the time we stayed, we left the hostel to use the bathroom at restaurants etc when we could. The room we had was fine, but located under the stairs it got very noisy every night about 3am wi Sarah, from New Zealand ~ 13th May 2012
