Along with all the ways to keep yourself entertained around the area, the hostel also offers many fun organized activities. From infamous pub crawls, comedy nights, pasta night, trips to the Getty Museum and Dodger games. We provide guided, inexpensive ways to enjoy the city.
And, if you just want to relax, then hang out in the hostel itself. We have comfortable common areas, a full kitchen, courtyard, free Wi-Fi and a TV room. There are plenty of spaces to meet other travellers and enjoy the laid back lifestyle that is Southern California. Here, you don't need to send a postcard back home, just send a picture!

Hostelling International is a non-profit membership based organization. Non-members will be asked to pay $3 temporary membership fee per night upon check-in. Occupancy taxes are not included. Maximum stay is 14 nights during each calendar year. No extensions will be granted and guests may not make back-to-back reservations. If you are making a reservation for more than one guest we will try our best to keep you in the same room; however, it will depend on our availability at check-in time. Please be aware that we will verify the validation of your credit card ahead of your arrival. If your credit card declines, your reservation will be cancelled. Accommodation is only available to travellers living outside the Los Angeles County Area. Please note that we do not accept group bookings for nine or more people. Group bookings for nine or more people will be automatically cancelled and the deposits will not be refunded.

typical HI hostels. good location, i was in an 8 bed dorm and it was very spacious. bathrooms ok, showers could have been better. lizzie, from Australia ~ 26th May 2013

Great place to stay if you want to be near the beach. Venice boardwalk 1.5 miles away. More expensive than most hostels I've stayed in but everything is a bit more expensive in LA than other US cities. Keep in mind no alcohol is allowed and there are many families and groups that stay there, so not exactly a party scene like some other places. Overall, a solid, clean, nice hostel in a great location, although I found it a bit sleepy. Andrew, from USA ~ 2nd May 2013
