O Chelsea International Hostel

Our hostel is one of the largest independent hostels in New York City.
The Chelsea International Hostel is located in the historic Chelsea district of Manhattan - just north of Greenwich Village and south of Midtown Manhattan (between 7th and 8th Avenues).
We have an outdoor courtyard, a common dining area and two common kitchens. There's free Wi-Fi in the common area.
Free continental breakfast is served in our dining area. You're welcome to enjoy our variety of bagels, cereal, fresh fruits, coffee, milk and tea.
It's been our tradition since opening - Wednesday evening is for free pizza!
Our property is maintained around the clock by a highly motivated maintenance and maid staff and our front desk personnel are comprised of people familiar with New York and the surrounding Boroughs.
Please note that we do not permit guests under the age of 18. Please read our T&Cs below.
Please note that taxes are not included in the listed rates and shall be applied upon check-in. NYS/NYC sale tax is 14.75%, while occupancy taxes are $3.50 per night. Check-in: 3pm. Check-out: 12 noon. A valid passport is required in order to check in. This policy is also valid for American and Canadian citizens. No exceptions. Payment is due in full upon arrival. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, travellers' cheques and cash. A $10 deposit (cash only) per person is required at check-in and is refundable upon return of keys on time. We have a 24hr cancellation policy. Late cancellations, late changes and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night's accommodation. The 10% deposit is for each night's accommodation. If you cancel any night, then the deposit for that night will be lost. There's no curfew. Common areas are open from 7am to 11pm, including the kitchens, computer room, courtyard and Wi-Fi areas. There is a maximum stay of 14 nights. Beds and rooms are allocated on the arrival day. We will do our best to accommodate you, but there's no guarantee that groups of two or more people will be in the same room. Bring your own towels; we provide bed linen, but not towels. Bring your own padlock (thick, medium size). There are lockers in every room but no locks.
