Rick's Causeway Coastal Hostel in Portstewart, Northern Ireland

With just 34 beds the hostel is small enough to give a friendly and personal service. We wellcome individual backpackers, couples , families and groups.There are a variety of rooms: dorm rooms, family rooms and some double or two bed rooms. Some of these are en-suite and there are showers for the other rooms which have hot water throughout the day.We have a self catering kitchen and dining room and a relaxing common room with an open fire and lots of books. The hostel is in a quiet area about 50 metres from the sea and less than a five minute walk from the harbour and the centre of Portstewart.
You can check in from 13.00 to 22.00, although you should give us a call if you expect to arrive after 20.00 or indeed if you need to check in outside these times. Once checked in you will be provided with a door code for night time access to the hostel.

The town of Portstewart has a very nice sea front with pubs, cafes and restraunts. At the West end of the town there is a beautifull blue flag beach about 3 kilometes long.
From the harbour you can book boat hire or fishing trips. There is a sub aqua diving centre just 200 metres from the hostel, two surf shops on the main street and there are horse riding .facilities just a few kilometres away.

There are bus services to Portstewart from Belfast and Derry and to the Giants Causeway and all the other highlights of the coast - Carrick-aRede rope bridge, Dunluce Castle and Bushmills Distillery. For those travelling by car there is free parking immediatly in front of the hostel.

No smoking in hostel.

Check in can normally be at any time, 10.00 to 22.00, subject to room availability but if you are likely to be arriving after 20.00 or need to check in outside these times you need to contact the hostel directly to let us know.

In the interests of all our guests no excess noise is permitted after 23.30.
