The Reykjavik Backpackers is a hostel and a travel hub located on the main street in Reykjavik city center! The hostels unbeatable location and vibrant atmosphere make it the perfect stop for travelers when visiting the capital of Iceland. It's a lively place offering not solely a warm bed to rest in but all the necessities for the traveler! Our services include a tourist information center with wide local knowledge of tours and activities, booking service, a car rental, a camping equipment rental and a brand new bar & a cafe (opened April 2013) to sit down and relax, an internet hotspot/free wifi, and much more. Our aim is to offer our customers the best value for money, budget accommodation supported by an outstanding customer service!

Facilities
The Reykjavik Backpackers has twenty rooms with 96 beds on three floors. There are sixteen dorms for 4-8 persons and four private rooms for 2 persons. Toilets and warm showers are accessible 24 hours a day, located in the center of each floor allowing guests to access the facilities easily. The building has common areas with and sofas for relaxing, reading a book or meeting new people. Kitchen facilities are available on the 4th floor for guests reserving beds in the dorm dormitory or in the private rooms.

Reykjavik Backpackers' bounty of common area and a big bar/lounge makes the place a perfect one to meet fellow travelers to join on your Iceland adventure. We also advice you to take local advice and head out for an outdoor adventure as Reykjavik has a lot of great activities at its doorstep, eg. hiking, glacier hiking, ice climbing, snowmobiling, river rafting, canoeing, sea kayaking, caving and even snorkeling!

We have 24-hour check in and service and free internet access. There is no curfew, but it is not allowed to disturb other guests from 10 pm to 8 am. All beds have clean sheets. Pillows, duvets, bed linen and towels can be provided, but are not included. Cable TV and comfy sofas in common rooms.
