The Hercus Lapa hostel is located in Lapa area, 200m from the famous Arcos da Lapa, where is the bohemian life more vibrant Rio de Janeiro.
Our hostel consists of two floors with rooms feminine, male and mixed with private bathrooms as well as dormitories with shared bathrooms. All are equipped with air conditioning, lockers, and bedding, already included in the room rate.
The Hercus also has recreation areas with pool, TV room, computer and internet access wi-fi. Our large kitchen is available 24 hours.

Hostel was everything you need - everywhere was clean, rooms were air conditioned (massive plus in the heat!) and had lockers. There was a cool social area with a pool table, computers and free wifi, plus there was always someone on reception to help with directions or booking tours. All the staff were extremely helpful and all spoke English (vital as I dont know any Portuguese!). Lapa itself is one of the liveliest parts of Rio full of bars and clubs so I definitely recommend this hostel!! Jack, from England ~ 13th Mar 2013
