Pension George in Santorin, Recko

A Family run pension renowned for its friendly helpful service. Pension George is owned and run by Santorinian George Halaris, his English wife and their 2 bi-lingual daughters. It is in the middle of Santorini island, just south of Fira town, the busy capital, which is only a 15 minute walk or a few minutes by bus or taxi and a 10 minute bus ride to the main beach. All amenities are close-by, so there is no need to go into town unless you want to and most guests prefer to eat in the village, where there is a fine selection of traditional tavernas serving typical Santorini dishes and specialities at very competitive prices..

There are 24 clean, comfortable rooms and the picturesque swimming pool is set amid a lush garden of exotic plants and flowers.

Breakfast is available upon request and is served in the pretty flower-filled courtyard or in the small indoor breakfast area.

There is a free transportation service from the port or airport and free wireless internet is available throughout the building.

At reception, guests can book any guided bus tours or boat trips to the volcano, Hot Springs, Thirassia island and Oia for sunset. Also obtain any information about things to do and see, or rent a car or scooter. A small selection of board games are available for guests enjoyment and there is a small library where guests can exchange books too, or read about other neighbouring islands. We will do our utmost to make sure that you enjoy your stay so much that you will want to return year after year !

Upon request we can provide a hairdryer, iron, alarm clock, coffee-maker, electric kettle, plates or cutlery. etc. Baby cots are available too.There is free wireless internet connection in the rooms.
