Ilha do Vento Pousada & Hostel is located within walking distance to the city centre (1Km) and to the best wind and kite spot, Ponta do Santo Cristo beach (500m) Next to the hostel you will find mini markets, self service and restaurants. Ilha do Vento has double, family and shared rooms (6 beds dorm) all with private bathroom, fans and an hammock in the veranda.

A small town, but a big surprise.
After a lot of travelling around the world we end up here and decided that this was the place to turn our dream into reality.

During this last 2 years of travelling we hardly stop longer then 3 days en each place, it had to be special and São Miguel was; we decided to stay for a week, then two and all of a sudden our first month here was over. We decided to change the \'fast living\' of the big cities with the slowness and tranquillity of this tiny place.

São Miguel do Gostoso is located 120Km north of Natal, about 1.5 hour drive from Natal\'s airport and became in the last year the new mecca for kite and wind surfers from all over the world. Even the 3 times world champion Kauli Seadi decided to build his new school and house here.
For the wind lovers it will be easy to live unforgettable moments of pure fun in the warm waters of São Miguel, for those who hate the wind, don\'t worry, you will visit the surrounding beaches, ride a horse before the sunset or enjoy a dune buggy trip to the dunes.

The city offers a big choice of restaurants, from the budget ones to the upscale and sophisticated. Next to the hostel you will find mini markets, restaurants and lan houses (for those travelling without a PC or iPhone, free Wi-Fi in the hostel).

The surrounding beaches of Tourinhos and Monte Alegre are the perfect choice for a bike ride (bike rental available at the hostel), and if you want some wave to surf rent a dune buggy and stretch until Lagoa do Sol, you will even enjoy the best sunset spot.
