Escape the noise of Seattle! You can take a 25 minute ferry ride to the heart of the Puget Sound and visit Vashon Island, situated between Tacoma and Seattle on a beautiful rural island.
The hostel's hand-hewn log cabin was made from the Douglas firs that grew on the 10-acre estate.
There are 11 Indian Sioux teepees (3 with fire pits and queen beds) for families or couples, antique covered wagons for singles, dorms or B&B quality rooms for the less adventurous.
AAA registered campground tenters are $11 per person,
kids half price....'free offers' available to all tenters
Stay here and you can enjoy:
- Free pancake breakfast
- Free showers
- Free concerts in the park
- Free pub runs
- Barbecue Nights
- 100 acre reserve for hiking
And to make things even better we are very close to the beach.

A gorgeous one of a kind experience that is being very poorly managed. Really more of a campsite then a hostel, and the staff is quite rude. If you have kids you might really like this place. This websight is not very accurate about the place, google Vashon Ranch hostel before you go. You do have to pay for linens, and pay special attention to the disclaimer that says dorm accommodation may be in a tee-pee - the tee-pee's and covered wagons are unheated and more like a pricey camp sight. And the Allegra, from USA ~ 2nd Aug 2011
