Langholmens Vandrarhem STF/HI enjoys a unique setting in an old prison. Old cells have been renovated to create comfortable, modern accommodation for budget travelers. We are located on Långholmen, an island in central Stockholm which is close to the lively area of Södermalm as well as beaches, green spaces and public transport connections.

We have a range of private rooms and dormitories, all with bunk beds. Most cells have en-suite bathrooms. Facilities at the hostel include a pub, a restaurant, free wireless Internet, a launderette and bicycle rental. Bed linen and towels can be hired at reception or guests can provide their own. Breakfast is available.

We operate a 24-hour reception.

We are an HI property. Non-members will be required to pay a small surcharge on arrival.

Located in central Stockholm, the large hostel Langholmen is situated on a green and quiet island close to public communications. Langholmen is the most captivating hostel in Stockholm. It offers accommodation in the original, but now freshly renovated, prison cells in what used to be the Crown Prison. Built in the 1840s, it served as a prison until 1975, when the last convict left the island.
Accommodation is in well-equipped cells with two to four bunks, with or without private bathroom. All rooms have bunk beds, even the twin rooms. Most cells have their own shower and WC. Every morning we serve our deliciuos breakfast. Enjoy our capting pub and our restaurant. Free wireless Internet. Internet café if you don't have your own computer.
