Tortuguero is a National Park located in the Caribbean of Costa Rica and was created in 1975 to protect the green turtle. There are more than 73.000 hectares between the canals and the rain forest where you can will more than 2,400 species of plants and trees, 87 species of mammals, more than 150 species of amphibians and reptiles and more than 400 species of birds including the migratory ones.
Our B&B has single, double and triple rooms with ocean view. Hot water is supplied 24hrs days, meals are provided and we have local tour guides with expert knowledge to take you on various types of tours:
*Hiking Tours
Where you can see monkeys, mammals, birds, frogs, snakes, and much more!
*Canal Tours
Take a boat through the canals and enjoy river turtles, Caymans, basilisk, snakes, monkeys, sloths, mammals, and birds.
*Turtle Tour (in season between July & September)
See the Turtles laying eggs at night. This is a wonderful process that people from around the world come to see every year.
*Fishing Tour
*Green Turtle Museum
Remenber that we offer transportation from San Jose to La Pavona Port. Round trip $50.00 one way $30.00 -Package 3 day 2 Nights include transportation,two tours,two nights and breakfast $140.00 p/person -Package 2 days 1 Night include transportation,one tour,one night and breakfast $120.00 p/person You can reserve this options via palpal or credit card

This hostel is in the best location on the Caribbean side of the island.The staff will bend over backwards to accomodate you.The rooms are very clean and simple.The mattress was brand new.If your staying in Tortuguero Village this is the only place to stay.You look out onto the beach and can hear the waves.Also the walk to see the turtles lay eggs is very short.Thanks for the great stay we will be back.
