The Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort is 25 miles from Yosemite Valley. Located on a forested 50-acre hillside complex, the Bug is a magical, relaxed social place.
In addition to the hostel kitchen, we offer a restaurant that has a great reputation locally for value and fresh foods. We serve from steaks to vegan.
Our desk staff are well versed about activities and hikes in Yosemite Valley, the sequoia groves and the High Sierra. The Merced River Wild and Scenic Area nearby offers great summer swimming, and whitewater rafting in the spring. Our property has a 1 hour nature trail and a spring swimming hole.
Our health spa offers access to the natural spring hot tub & sauna, offered treatments including massage, and yoga classes. This beautiful facility overlooks the canyon.
Groups will find our meeting areas and packages will fit their needs.
There is a 11% lodging tax added on to the balance due. If you are not a member of Hosteling International there will be an additional $3 charge per person per night for a non membership fee, Memberships are available upon check in.

We rented 4 beds in a 12 bed co-ed dorm as this was the only accommodation available. The dorm itself was in a cabin and was clean and spacious with plenty of walking room. The washroom was in the cabin. It was a little old but served its purpose. There were lockers in the dorms for security and the cabin also had a lock. The cafe served really yummy food. The only downside was the drive into Yosemite was a little further than I expected at about 45 mins Di, from Canada ~ 15th May 2013
