Coming to Quepos...
Travel to the area is easy and can be done in a number of different ways. Regularly scheduled air service is available through Sansa Airlines; the flight takes 20 minutes. It is a three and a half hour, or more, drive by car or bus from San Jos depending on the weather and traffic.
Direct buses leave from Trascopa bus terminal in San Jos (calle 5 between avenidas 18 and 20) at 6am, 9am, 12pm, 2.30pm, 6pm and 7.30pm. These are large, comfortable Mercedes buses. The cost is about 4000 colones, $8.
Ask the busdriver to stop at the soccerfield in Manuel Antonio and we are located just on the right-hand side.
If you are renting a car, it is advisable to rent a 4X4 vehible if you are traveling to remote sections of Costa Rica like the Osa or Nicoya Peninsulas.
If you are in Quepos, the local bus runs from the Quepos bus station to Manuel Antonio every 20-30 minutes during the day and every hour after dark. The bus fare is 240 colones, about $0.50USD. Keep your eyes open for the Manuel Antonio football field. Were right across the road (right-hand side) with a big sign--easy to find. Follow the arrow pointing down the stairs to get to reception.
