The Seatran Ferry Company runs a direct Bus/Ferry Service Bangkok-Samui-Bangkok combined VIP Bus/Ferry Service.

There are daily flights from Phuket to Samui and plenty of Bus-Tour Operators from Had Yai, Satun, Krabi and the many other travel Destinations of Thailand to Ko Samui.

By Bus:

The Bangkok to Samui buses leave from the Southern Terminal in Bangkok. There are V.I.P. first and second-class buses. These are all air-conditioned. For an easier journey, buy a bus / boat combination ticket. However, the buses are often delayed and not to be relied upon, especially if you are making a connection for a flight. The price for a VIP bus is ~ THB40. (prices are subject to changes) including the ferry transfer from Nathon to Surat Thani. The complete journey takes around 12 hours.

On arrival at the Ferry Port - Nathon - Ko Samui you may take a local Taxi (Song Teaow) to Chaweng / Laem Din / FX Resort Chaweng for around THB50 per person after sunset tariff are negotiable!!!
