DIRECTIONS
By Train:
There are 2 train stations in Porto, So Bento and Campanh. Campanh is the main train station, but with the same ticket you can go out in So Bento. When arriving in Campanh (from Lisbon, Coimbra, etc.), make sure your train ends in So Bento Train Station. Otherwise, from CAMPANH you will have to change to another line (normally line nr.2 in CAMPANH Train Station) to get to So Bento Train Station. Go out in So Bento Train Station, cross the street opposite the station, go right and turn left on the first corner. You will see on your right our main square, 'Aliados' (Praa da Liberdade). Go straight up the 'Rua dos Clrigos', with the church up on the top. A bit after this street becomes 'Rua da Asuno'. Right after 'Rua da Assuno' ends, after the church - Torre dos Clrigos - , turn left, walk forward and then our street its the 2nd on the left: Rua dos Caldeireiros. Then our house is the number 261 on your right.
By Bus:
Most of the buses that are coming from Lisbon or main cities stop at the garden Joo Chagas(Cordoaria), the big garden. From there you can see the big church, 'Torre dos Clerigos', the main Porto symbol. Go straight to the tower, cross the garden, and the street on your right with the trafic lights and with the crosswalk. After crossing the street, walk straight to the last street on the left, Rua dos Caldeireiros, our street. Then our house is the number 261 on your right.
By Metro:
Arriving from the airport, you will have to take the Line E (Purple line). In 'Trindade' change to 'D' line (Yellow line, direction Joo de Deus), and go out 2 stops after, in 'So Bento' metro station. Then take the same directions as for train. Notice that the Trindade Metro Station is not far from the Hostel, but it will be more confortable if you take our recommendations. Follow the same instructions 'By Train'.
When getting the metro or the bus, you have to know that first you have to buy one general ticket, called 'Andante', and recharge it after with how many trips you want. You have instructions in english.
