Rua Augusta is one of the most famous streets in all of Portugal as it is in Lisbon city centre; therefore, you'll find it easy to get transportation here from anywhere in the city. It's a pedestrian street that goes from Rossio to Praca do Comercio, the two main squares.
We're in front of a small tourist office, four blocks away from the arch on Praca do comercio.
From Lisbon Airport:
Take bus number 44 (except on Sundays) or 745 and get off at Praca do Comercio. The journey should take about 45 minutes and costs €1.75.
Alternately, take Aerobus 91 and get off at Praca do Comercio. This service runs from 7.45am to 10.30pm and takes about 30 minutes; the fare is €3.50.
We also provide an airport pick-up and drop-off service between 14:30 and 22:30 for a fee of €15/service. Please contact us in advance if you're interested. Journey time is about 15 minutes.
From Santa Apolonia Train Station:
Take bus 9, 47, 746 or 759 and get off at Praca do Comercio. The fare is €1.75.
Alternately, take the blue line on the metro to Baixa-Chiado station (fare €1.25). Take the Rua do Ouro exit and walk straight until you get to Rua Augusta and turn right.
A taxi will cost about €6. Always ask for a receipt.
From Gare do Oriente Train Station:
Take bus 44 or 745 and get off get off at Praca do Comercio. Journey time is about 20 minutes and the fare is €1.75.
Otherwise, take the red line on the metro in the direction of So Sebastiao and get off at Alameda station. Change here to the green line, going in the direction of Cais do Sodre, and get off at Baixa/Chiado station. Take the Rua do Ouro exit and walk straight until you get to Rua Augusta and turn right. Total journey time is about 20 minutes and costs €1.25.
A taxi will cost €15 and take 15 minutes. Always ask for a receipt.
From Sete Rios Train Station/Bus terminal:
