Oktoberfest September 18th to October 4th

This is probably the world’s most popular beer drinking festival! Every year in Munich since 1810 both locals and beer tourists from all over the world gather in the specially erected beer tents in Munich to celebrate what once started as a wedding celebration.

Festes de la Mercé, September 24th

This annual festival takes place in Barcelona every September 24th to mark the city’s patron saint – the Virgin de la Merce. Events begin from the 22nd in the build up to this public holiday with parades and processions. There are also sports events, live music, fireworks and lots more festivities!

Dublin Fringe Festival September 11th – 26th

The Dublin Fringe Festival brings 16 days of theatre, comedy, dance, music and much more to the Irish capital city. This year’s program is packed full of events that will take place all over the city in theatres and venues, and even along streets and in parks.

Galway Oyster Festival September 22nd – 26th

2010 will bring the 56th annual International Oyster Festival to Galway. This west coast festival is the highlight on the Galway calendar as it celebrates the season of the Galway oyster. Festivities include a lot of oyster tasting accompanied with the traditional pint of Guinness. There’s also a lot of music and entertainment in the pubs and on the street, a best dressed lady competition as well as the Guinness World Oyster Opening Championship.
