Fringe Festival Prague (June 1st - 9th)
One of Prague’s most popular events, the Fringe Festival is a great mix of theatre, comedy, music and great entertainment over nine days. The festival takes place around the Malá Strana area of Prague and the jam packed festival has something for everyone and all tastes.
The Queen's Jubilee Weekend, London (June 2nd - 5th)
If you’re planning a trip to London over the first weekend in June, you’ll be able to join in on some of the finest celebrations the city has seen. This extra long weekend (Monday and Tuesday are public holidays) is jam packed full of events from street parties, picnics in Hyde Park, concerts outside Buckingham Palace, a day at the Epsom Races and a lot more.
Edinburgh Film Festival (June 20th -July 1st)
One of many festivals on Edinburgh’s summer calendar is also one of the most popular – The Edinburgh Film Festival. For 12 days the city becomes a film hub as premieres, parties and red carpets are rolled out for actors, directors and movie fans to enjoy. Make sure to make time for a film or two if you’re in Edinburgh during this great festival.
Christopher Street Day Berlin (June 23rd)
Over thirty years old, the Christopher Street Day in Berlin is a celebration of the gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual community. This annual event marks the first significant uprising against the discrimination of the gay community by police that was held in Greenwich Village, New York in 1969.
Wimbledon, London (June 25th - July 8th)
The All England Lawn Tennis Club is the venue outside of London for the annual tennis spectacle that is Wimbledon. This is one of the UK’s biggest sporting events and it is known for its strawberries, rain delays and British celebrities as much as it is for its tennis matches.
