Wondering what to do during the month of October? If you find yourself in any of these places don’t miss out on these October events.
Melbourne Arts Festival (6th - 22nd October)
This is one of Australia’s top arts festivals and is internationally renowned. The Melbourne International Arts is so successful and popular because of the quality of the work it showcases and the vastness of the program. Melbourne plays host to a whole host of dance, theatre, visual arts, music and much more throughout the festival.
BFI London Film Festival (12th - 27th October)
The annual British Film Institute Film Festival takes place in October and this year marks the 55th anniversary of the festival. London will showcase some of the UK’s and the world’s best new films over the festival.
Iceland Airwaves (October 12th – 16th)
Iceland Airwaves is a popular annual music festival that takes place in Reykjavik for five days over the third weekend of October every year. Inaugurated in 1999, this music festival began as a means of showcasing new music, both local and internationally.
49th Ulster Bank Belfast Festival at Queen's (14th - 30th October)
Belfast’s much loved arts festival is back for its 49th anniversary this year with a programme packed full of events. The Ulster Bank Belfast Festival will take place across 36 venues with over 100 events during October.
Guinness Cork Jazz Festival (28th - 31st October)
Cork City in the south of Ireland plays host to all things jazz yet again this October with the return of this much loved festival. Venues across the city will showcase some of the biggest names in jazz as well as crowds of fans and visitors. There’s also lots taking place in pubs and streets around the city for the duration of the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival.
