Ten years and still spinning - The London Eye

Ten years and still spinning - The London Eye

In case you hadn't noticed from all our recent posts about London, here at Hostels.com we are fans of visiting the English capital city! We all love London because there really is so much to do and see over there, so much so that every time we go back we have a list of new things to do and places we want to see!

However, one London attraction that we all love to visit anytime we are sightseeing in London is the London Eye. There is something about those capsules that slowly spin around on the banks of The Thames that we simply can't get enough of! When the London Eye was first built to mark the dawn of a new millennium, a lot of cynical people considered it a gimmick. They thought it wouldn't last the year and would be left to rust as an eyesore in the London skyline. Well, ten years later the queues to get into a capsule and take an aerial look at London are still as long as ever. The London Eye may be ten years old but we reckon it's still a must see if you are visiting London. To find out more about the London Eye birthday celebrations and what celebrities have taken the most flights on the London Eye click here to read our website blog post. And take a look at our London City guide while you're over there to find out what else is worth doing in London Town!
