Free things to do in Africa: Jeffreys Bay

If you are visiting Jeffreys Bay you will soon realise that this is a surfing hotspot. Surfing is a way of life around these parts with many surfing beaches, competitions and shops.

One surfing shop in particular that is worth a visit is the Quiksilver Store on De Gama Road as it is also home to the Surf Museum. On the first floor you will find the museum that is full of old surfboards, photos, details on the history of who has surfed the waves of Jeffreys Bay in the past and lots more. And what’s more, the museum is free! Making it our recommendation of a free thing to do in Jeffreys Bay!

The Surf Museum is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 2pm and Sunday 9am to 1pm.
