The city of Chicago is a popular choice for tourists from all over the world all year round. With its hot summers and oh-so-cold snowy winters, Chicago can offer you something different at any time of year. One of our favourite places to visit at any time of year in Chicago is Millennium Park. And it also makes for a great free thing to do in Chicago too!
Millennium Park showcases Chicago’s finest architecture, landscaping and artwork covering 24.5 acres. Over the years it has become an award winning centre for music and art as well as a great place for the community to gather together along with visiting tourists.
Millennium Park has many great features including the Frank Gehry designed Jay Pritzker Pavilion which is one of the most popular and loved outdoor concert venues in the USA. Also in the park you will find the popular Cloud Gate sculpture (fondly know as ‘The Bean’), the contemporary designed Lurie Garden and the interactive Crown Fountain.
Events run all year round in Millennium Park from outdoor summer concerts and movie screenings in the warm months, to ice skating rinks in the winter. So if you are visiting this great city at any time of year then don’t miss out on this great free thing to do in Chicago
