Free things to do in the USA: New York City

One of New York’s most recognisable sights is the Brooklyn Bridge. This bridge is one of the USA’s oldest suspension bridges and is one of the city’s top tourist attractions. A walk across the Brooklyn Bridge is a great thing to do for free in New York.

A walk across this beautiful bridge that connects Manhattan with Brooklyn is a great way to take in some amazing views of Manhattan’s skyline. The walk across takes about 20 minutes and you will always see people on the bridge, both locals and tourists, at all times of the year.

If you set off from the Manhattan side make sure you take some time to enjoy what’s on the Brooklyn side such as the Brooklyn Heights neighbourhood and promenade.
