If you want to visit what many say is the inspiration for Disneyland, then check out the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen. This is the city’s top attraction and is loved by many who visit here.
This amusement park dates back to 1843 and today welcomes over four million people through its doors every year. It is the most visited theme park in Scandinavia and home to one of the world&rsquo s oldest wooden roller-coasters. The rutsjebanen, or as some people call it, Bjergbanen (the Mountain Coaster) was actually built in Malmo in Sweden in 1914. There are also many more rides at the Tivoli Gardens including a lot more modern additions.
Also at Copenhagen&rsquo s Tivoli Gardens you can enjoy some performing arts in the Tivoli Concert Hall or in The Pantomime Theatre that is open-air and showcases many ballet and dance performances.
A trip to the Tivoli Gardens is a great way to spend a day in Copenhagen. Whether you get your thrills on the many great rides or relax in the pleasure gardens, make sure you don’t miss out on a visit here.
