A Berlin hostel could be a good base for the German-American festival
If so, booking a cheap hostel in Berlin could provide the perfect place to rest weary heads after visiting the German-American Volksfest.
The festival is celebrating the 50 US states in a 50 years convention which includes exhibits and pictures from previous events.
Artists from the US will take to the stage to perform in the American village and there will also be Berlin cult bands showing what they can do.
Other activities, which might interest those who are a fan of their food, include a hamburger eating contest on August 5th and a hot dog eating competition on August 9th.
The extravaganza begins on July 23rd and goes on until August 15th, so there is time for people to reserve their Berlin hostel of choice.
A fairground with more than 100 attractions will be on show to wow the crowds and over 300 hours of live music will be played to the masses throughout the festival.
Carnival operators will be organising bungee jumping, a rock and roller coaster and a haunted ride called Crazy Hotel among many others.
Children are also catered for as the organisers point out: "For younger guests of the fairground, a lot is offered. For instance, a western-style pony riding or a children's train and several merry-go-rounds. There are also many games of skill, raffles, shooting ranges and power-grabs."
