This is particularly true if you're a fan of outdoor living, as - according to the Daily Telegraph - it boasts a range of landscapes that should cater to all tastes. You'll be able to mix it up by catching a bit of fresh sea air, followed by staring at your reflection in the calmer waters of the lakes, rivers and canals. After this, a healthy walk through some of the region's green pastures will surely put you in a fantastic mood. The city is also pretty good for getting about when your feet are tired, as a recent EuroTest study rated its public transport system as being good to use.
What's more, the Daily Telegraph noted that the city - which happens to be Germany's second largest, don't you know - is also a great destination if outdoor pursuits are not what you're after for your entire stay. If you like to throw other factors into the melting pot, Hamburg is definitely the township for you, as you can shop to your heart's content and then fill empty bellies with yummy seafood.
All I know is, if Hamburg's good enough for the Beatles who were apparently quite taken with the area, then it's certainly good enough for everyone else.
