Amsterdam 'good' for cheap travel
According to Daniel Hurst of the Brisbane Times, Amsterdam travellers can, if they're savvy, get their hands on some chip cards that are either rechargeable or disposable, depending on the varying needs of the customer.
You can validate these little babies with however many days' worth of travel that you require - be it in terms of time or number of journeys - and for the princely sum of 7 (£6.23) happy campers can take advantage of unlimited travel that lasts all day. So there you go - heading off around this magical European city has never been so easy. Aren't you glad that you have me to bring these delights to your attention?
And why not use your newly acquired travel card to get yourself to Jumping Amsterdam, one of the most eagerly awaited events on the equestrian calendar? It's taking place between January 21st and 24th and is great fun for everyone, apparently, from grownups to youngsters. Just make sure you keep a weather eye open for the special presentation that's taking place this year, involving Jean-Francois Pignon of France, who will be showcasing his horse-taming talents to all. He's been a horse fanatic since he was six, apparently, so it should be quite a spectacle. Yee-haw!
