Amsterdam hostels perfect place to stay to see Ajax host Real Madrid
The pair will meet in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League on November 23rd and those travelling to Holland have plenty of choice if they are wishing to stay in a hostel in Amsterdam.
Earlier in the tournament, the two sides played out an entertaining match at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Madrid winning 2-0.
On the night, an own goal from Vurnon Anita gave the Spanish side the edge just before half-time, with Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain adding a second late on.
Since then, Madrid have gone on to defeat Auxerre, while Ajax picked up a credible draw away to AC Milan, in what is perceived to be the glamour group of the Champions League.
Both Real Madrid and Ajax Amsterdam are steeped in history, with names such as Alfredo Di Stefano, Zinedine Zidane and Johann Cruyff linked to the two clubs.
More recently, they have struggled to make an impact in European football, with Ajax and their famed academy becoming better known for bringing players through and then selling them off to other sides.
However, with the likes of Luis Suarez and Jan Vertonghen, plus Dutch internationals Gregory van der Wiel and Maarten Stekelenburg, the Amsterdam club is rebuilding its pedigree.
Madrid, under Jose Mourinho, are also looking strong this year, adding to a squad featuring Ronaldo and Higuain with talented youngsters Mezut Ozil and Angel di Maria.
All of this should mean that those staying in a hostel in Amsterdam are in for a treat when the two sides meet in November.
