You'll have to be quick about it, however, as it's only on until April 18th, although this should give you plenty of time to hotfoot it down to the gallery and give his letters a quick leaf through. This unique display was brought to my attention by Hello magazine and it's certainly one that I wish I had the time to go to. Unfortunately, I'm back at home at the moment, but I can't wait for my next trip around the world. I'm planning one as we speak.
But back to the matter at hand - The Real Van Gogh: The Artist and His Letters provides, according to the publication, a glimpse into the "complex mind" of the master.
"Was he actually crazy or did he just have moments of frenetic artistic activity when he lost touch with reality?" it asked, adding: "The letters reveal a persistent and consistent artist, far removed from the image of unstable and erratic genius that has evolved in novels and films."
I think it sounds fascinating and I'm not even that interested in the whole art shebang. Another event that surprisingly inspired me was Alternative Fashion Week, also being held in London in April. It's taking place between the 19th and 23rd of the month and involves catwalks, live fashion shows and contemporary jazz. Sounds good, no?
