Be like Bond in Iceland
Iceland may not strike you as an obvious choice when considering a holiday destination, but there seems to be some excitement generating around it.

The country's tourist board has been promoting some of the activities that you can find if you're staying in hostels there, with a James Bond-type underwater experience among them.

Iceland Excursions offers the diving activity, using an Torpedo 3500 DPV scooter made famous by the Thunderball film - admittedly not 007's finest hour!

But those who want to keep their head above water while visiting hostels in Iceland can check out a full-size replica of a Viking ship, which has just arrived in the Reykjanes peninsula.

The promotion comes as tour operator Discover the World recommends Iceland to nature lovers and film buffs - much like me.

Films like Die Another Day (another Bond outing), Batman Begins and Stardust have all been partly shot in the country and visitors are able to check out some of the locations.
