That's because the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour is taking place on the 2nd of the month and I for one am absolutely keen as mustard to get on mine and take part. Apparently, so are lots of other people as around 32,000 pedal-pushers are expected to hit the streets of the Big Apple and show drivers a thing or two about how to get around.
The 42-mile course starts in Lower Manhattan and then heads north to Central Park before going on a whistle-stop tour of Harlem and the Bronx, the East River, Queens and Brooklyn. If you're already signed up, you'll be tired but happy at the end of it all, I promise!
And even if you're not interested in being that active, then your entertainment needs are to be catered for as well, with a mountain bike stunt show - too cool - and the Casym Steel Orchestra providing a musical backdrop to the proceedings. What's more, you'll also be able to get some practical advice about riding, renting, cycle gear and training from all sorts of professionals who will be on hand to help out. Sounds good, no?
