Booking a cheap hostel in New York may be the perfect solution to any destination-finding issues especially if advice from Anna Catchpole, UK PR manager for NYC & Company - official tourism body for the promotion of New York - is anything to go by.
She advised that as the city begins to change and the leaves depart from the trees in the parks, it is an ideal time to visit the Big Apple.
Ms Catchpole added: "It is also the start of the festive season when New York really comes alive and it is a great time for Brits to visit."
In addition, she recommended people keep their eye out for various events going on, including the 37th Village Halloween Parade and the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
But those who are unsure whether this is worth reserving a New York hostel for may be keen to attend a variety of festive happenings in the city at Christmas.
Ms Catchpole noted that skating at one of the city's rinks could be something to consider doing, as well as checking out the annual Rockefeller Centre Tree Lighting.
This advice comes after marketing company Hitwise revealed that in its first ever list of the top 50 flight destinations searched for by UK internet users, New York was number one.
