The New York Anime Festival is set to take place from October 8th to the 10th and might be worth booking a New York hostel for, especially for those who are into their comics.
Anime screenings will be on show and guests from the US and Japan will be in attendance and Japanese food and video games will also be featured at the attraction.
Tickets for the three-day annual convention are priced at $50 (£31.96) for a weekend pass with Saturday passes costing $40 and Friday and Sunday tickets available for $30 each.
It might be worth reserving a cheap hostel in New York near to the Jacob K Javits Center - where the event is taking place - for those who want to be close to the action.
And individuals who have a favourite anime artist may be in luck as there are many set to be appearing at the spectacle, including Jamie Lee Song, Lori Santavicca and Qingxia Qin, as well as plenty of others.
But those who want to explore New York following the event could check out a wide range of anime-inspired points of interest, as noted by the festival's website.
This includes the Forbidden Planet shop on Broadway, which is known for its selection of comic books, role-playing games, and collectible figurines.
In addition, the Japan Society - a non-profit society which aims to bring the Asian country closer together with the US - on East 47th Street might also be appealing to anime fans.
