Book a Sydney hostel for the international boat show
Posted in: Travel

The 43rd Sydney International Boat Show is kicking off in Australia on Thursday July 29th and I would fully recommend it whether you're a fan of water transport or not.
But make sure you book a cheap hostel in Sydney as soon as you can because there could well be a high demand for beds in the city.
The event lasts until Monday August 2nd and it could be a perfect start to your summer holiday in the country with plenty to see and do over the long weekend.
On the Saturday (July 31st) people can have a lesson in constructing ships when they go to check out the boat building competition, in which those taking part have around two hours to design and make one of the structures before testing it out on the water in Darling Harbour.
The organisers reckon "the team rivalry and carrying-on from the many participating shipwrights always draws a large crowd and provides great entertainment for onlookers".
So, this could be a good option if you don't mind getting there by 10:00 local time to see the boats being created, although the race doesn't start until 14:30.
Reserving a Sydney hostel near to the convention and exhibition centre and Cockle Bay Marina is a good idea if you want to be in close proximity to action.
If you're already in the Australian city before the show then you may want to take a look at the Rocks Aroma Festival which is on Sunday July 25th and celebrates the importance of tea and coffee in our lives.
