Book London hostels to explore new deep sea exhibition
London hostels can be ideal as a centre-point for exploring the city. The numerous methods of transport available in the capital mean no visitor is ever too far away from a new experience.
The Deep combines real-life specimens, huge installations and imagery to show people what weird and wonderful creatures live on the seabed.
According to the museum, this area of the planet has been explored less than the moon, so there are thousands upon thousands of interesting and exciting facts to be learned about the ecosystem.
There is even a real sperm whale skeleton on display, as well as a life-size recreation of a whale fall.
"Remote, pitch black, with freezing cold temperatures and pressure up to 1,000 times greater than on land [...] find out about this harsh and alien habitat," the NHM says.
What's more, visitors to The Deep can see a replica of a submersible used to plunge the abyss and collect information on this undiscovered world.
The Deep is priced at £8 for an adult ticket - and it is open from 10:00 to 17:50 BST Monday to Sunday.
Also available for a day out at the museum this summer is the Darwin Centre, with its Attenborough Studio and Cocoon experience. Entry to the facility is free.
