The event takes place on July 3rd until the 13th of the month and it is held at cinemas all over the French capital so I would ensure you book a cheap Paris hostel in a fairly central location.
There is an array of top films that will premiere at the event, such as The Killer Inside Me and The Housemaid, as well as many French titles, so it might be a great idea to take a holiday around this time if you want to improve your French.
One of the main attractions could be the premiere of Disney Pixar's Toy Story 3, which stars US A-list actors Tom Hanks and Tim Allen as main characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
To mark the occasion there is even a special Toy Story Day on Saturday July 11th, which will feature airings of the first two parts of the trilogy in 3D for the first time before the showing of the latest release in the technology format. I would certainly be interested in visiting the event on this basis alone!
People attending the event will have to pay 5 (£4.15) for most screenings but there is a selection that do not cost anything at all and could also be worth checking out if you're looking to save some pennies.
One of the main attractions could be seeing legendary US actress Jane Fonda at the festival and there will also be plenty of free events which should hopefully catch your eye before you return to your Paris hostel.
