Catch some synth-rock in Madrid
And at least now I have an idea of what to spend my next pay check on. As soon as I get paid, I'm heading down to the nearest record store to shell out for Sounds of the Universe. You'll probably be able to hear me playing it on my stereo from your Madrid hostel, I'm that excited! According to EsMadrid, the new offering "retains the familiar dark electro-pop atmosphere with powerful beats and lyrics that still digress, with black humour, between love and unhealthy sex, religion and human relationships". Even if you're not a huge Depeche Mode fan, you can't deny that the description is highly appealing.
If you want to be a groupie and follow the group around the world, they're doing Europe throughout winter, with stops off in Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Now, enough of this claptrap - I'm off home to crank up the volume on Enjoy the Silence. How ironic!
