Celebrate Japan from a Los Angeles hostel
Booking a cheap hostel in Los Angeles could be ideal for the Nisei Week Japanese Festival, which takes place from August 14th to the 22nd.
There will be an array of differing activities to see and do, such as a karaoke contest, a coronation ball, as well as sake tasting which will feature 50 different types of the Japanese alcohol.
The drinks range from Junmai Daiginjo, Daiginjo or Ginjo, while people can learn to pair the delicacy with foods and enjoy a sake sommelier seminar and introduction to Japanese culture.
Many different locations will be utilised for the various events, but those who want to be based near to the 11th Annual Nisei Week Show-off Car Show might like to reserve a hostel in Los Angeles near Little Tokyo.
This exhibition takes place on Saturday August 14th and will feature people competing in vehicles, as well as parading them and there will be live entertainment in the shape of R&B and hip hop acts.
The festival website said: "Come get a taste of Japan happening at various spots throughout Little Tokyo, carnival, food, shopping and more!"
Nisei Week is now in its 70th year, which would have come much earlier but for a global war disrupting its progress.
Moreover, the event webpage noted that the extravaganza has undergone "surprisingly little change from its basic original", adding "the ondo dance parade has continued to be a crowd drawing spectacle."
