Check out London's monarchy
Posted in: Travel

Those of you with an interest in monarchy planning on staying in a London hostel are in the greatest possible place to see a bit of history, paraded at its very best in England's capital city.
And Gather's writer Raj Aryan seems to agree with me that you can find plenty of enjoyment from seeing a British Crown structure in the big smoke. He said: "No city in the world shows off their traditions in a way so beautiful as London does at the Buckingham Palace."
People who need some encouragement to visit this magnificent piece of architectural history may like to know that there is a changing of the guard ritual that takes place in view of the public outside the great venue.
But beware that the guards are not allowed to smile, so no funny business!
However, if past times are not necessarily what you're interested in then why not pop over to the more contemporary side of London and take a look at Portobello Market where you can pick up all kinds of fun souvenirs.
From traditional English fruit and veg which may not be a good idea to transport back on the plane to antiques galore, there is sure to be something there which takes your fancy.
The market goes through the area of Notting Hill - which you may recognise from the Hugh Grant film and you can really get a feel of the real authentic side of London when walking down the road checking out all the individual stalls.
