Find a cheap hostel in New York to catch the Village Halloween Parade
So it may be wise to book up a cheap hostel in New York now and then try to figure out which spooky outfit to don this October 31st.
With more than 50,000 people set to get involved, it may be best for participants to take their time selecting their suit so that it could be a possible highlight within the crowds.
It all takes place in the Greenwich section of the popular US city, with the parade trailing from 6th Ave near to Spring Street all the way to 22nd Street, though it should be interesting to note that the first ever parade was participated by a mask maker and puppeteer who lived in the area and went from house to house in the area to mark Halloween with his children.
However, before long this walk was turned into a "not-for-profit organisation" and would soon become acknowledged by Festivals International as "The Best Event in the World" for October 31st, another reason for fans of the celebration to snap up some cheap New York hostels.
The amount of variety in the parades is usually a sight to be seen even if people are not actually taking part in the parade, with stilt-walkers, papier-mâché puppets and breakdancers just some of the past examples which pass by crowds of "around two million" spectators, as well as millions more watching the scenes on television.
