Perhaps people would like to book a cheap Paris hostel and discover the Paris Chocolate Festival, which takes place at the Expo Porte de Versailles from October 28th until November 1st.
While there, fans of the milky confectionary will be treated to the biggest festival of its kind in the world, with treats of the chocolate-kind spanning over a location of at least 12,000 square metres.
In this space are displays, demonstrations, tastings and even a chocolate-themed fashion show, "where models come down the catwalk in chocolate clothes".
Those who do not have that much of a sweet tooth may instead want to stay closer to the UK and snap up a cheap Dublin hostel between January 26th and 30th.
During this time, the city will be celebrating the Temple Bar TradFest, the "premier celebration of traditional music and culture", with live acts, a pub trail and a food trail all set to take place themed around the Irish traditions.
Travelling further east, people will be treated to the art of Camel Wrestling in Turkey, where the name says it all, as man meets camel in this sporting tradition during the third Sunday of January.
Another sporting-themed event involves the art associated with the Samurai Festival, where a parade of Ronin Warriors, enemy lords and Japanese fife bands all make their way through the streets of Tokyo on December 14th on their way to Ako Castle.
