Booking a cheap hostel in Barcelona should be your main priority if you want to attend the race and enjoy the thrills and spills that it will undoubtedly throw up.
Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo is currently at the summit of the drivers' championship standings, followed by fellow countryman Dani Pedrosa. So, it could be an interesting tussle between the pair during the event.
But one man you will unfortunately not be able to see in action is legendary MotoGP racer Valentino Rossi who suffered a broken leg after a crash in practice at his home grand prix in Mugello, Italy earlier this month.
The race begins at 14:00 local time on July 4th so you still have a few weeks to sort out any travel preparations. I would advise reserving a Barcelona hostel as near as you can to the Circuit de Catalunya track to ensure minimum cost when heading to the event.
One favourable option could be to make a weekend of it, culminating by watching the race on the Sunday. There are plenty of great activities to undertake in Barcelona, especially if you are a sports lover.
Why not check out the football stadium of FC Barcelona? People can go on a tour of the Nou Camp and you can just imagine what the atmosphere would be like when its full to its near-100,000 capacity.
