The start of November could be a particularly good time to visit the awe-inspiring city as there is JazzFest Berlin happening on November 4th to the 7th, which might interest music fans.
And it should be a superb event once again this year as it is in the capable hands of Nils Landgren, who stars in the band Funk Unit and so he knows a thing or two about music and especially Jazz.
The artistic director of the event he's set to hold the post until 2011 after a successful festival in 2001 is also a soloist called Mr Red Horn and because of this he has "a wealth of knowledge and an abundance of international contacts which can only serve to further enrich" the occasion, according to its website.
But don't just take my word for it that the 2001 version was great, as according to Berlin Info it was a "worthwhile event for fans of Nordic jazz", which I would certainly agree with and encourage anybody - whether they like the style or are just fans of any type of music - to get involved.
And jazz enthusiasts who fancy a last minute weekend away to the German capital might like to get along to see Jamie Cullum in action on May 31st at the Tempodrom, which is sure to be an entertaining night out.
