Drum roll, please! If you're in the area, get yourself down to London's Vinopolis - its famous wine and rum tasting venue (a reason in itself to go) - as the Caribbean Tourism Organisation is putting on Food Rum & Rhythm. This particular show has been doing the rounds recently and if you're a hardened traveller you may have already caught it in Washington, DC, New York or even Canada. If not, don't panic just yet as it's also being put on in many other US cities as I type so head to the web (oh, wait - you're already there!) and check out if it's going on in your area. You won't regret it, I promise!
In the UK, the country's rum ambassador Ian Burrell (who is also the genius behind the capital's yearly Rumfest) will be in attendance so if you have questions about the general rum industry, he's your man. Apparently, guests will be able to check out a wide selection of Caribbean rums, as well as get their chops around some yummy-tasting food from two of London's Caribbean restaurants. Delicious!
If you can't make it but like the sound of what it has to offer, visit Windies Cove, a Caribbean restaurant in Greenwich, where you can get yourself in the tropical mood any time.
