Get value for money in London
If you're looking forward to your vacation but are concerned that you'll have to spend the last few days of your time away eating nothing but bread and water, don't despair. Just listen to these words of wisdom from Jacqueline French, a spokeswoman for Visit London and do a bit of research before you pack those bags and hop on that plane.
Ms French noted that this is definitely the best way to get value for money and the city has lots to offer in the way of free sights, as well as those that require a few pounds - and it could be fun to incorporate both of these.
"You can go and visit a free attraction like the Tate Modern [or] the National History Museum and then also go to a paid-for attraction like the London Eye or ZSL London Zoo," she said.
She also stated that it could be good to check out some of the open spaces that London boasts, such as the eight royal parks that there are - more in the way of free entertainment! Just hope that it doesn't rain proverbial cats and dogs and you're laughing all the way to the bank.
You should be in excellent company, if you do decide to go on a London trip. Recent figures from the Office for National Statistics revealed that, for the period between November 2009 and January 2010, 7.4 million visits were paid to the UK. Yowza! That's loads!
