Gaming fans of all ages could be wise to rent cheap Paris hostels to get the chance to hear some of the most-famous soundtracks in the industry's history played out by some of the best orchestras and choirs in the world.
Many franchises' hits have played out in a more epic format in the past, with a list so long that surprises in the line-up can be seen from gig-to-gig.
Likely to feature on set are the soundtracks from Nintendo classics Mario, Zelda and Metroid, Sony's great-sellers God of War and Uncharted 2, as well as Halo and Gears of War – both of which have graced many Xbox fans' consoles over the years.
Some multi-platform gems are also included to give videogame fans even more reason to get along to the show after snapping up a room in a range of cheap hostels in Paris, with Metal Gear Solid and Assassin's Creed 2 some of the highlights in this category.
It is not just about the music either, as state-of-the-art lighting gives an epic aura to the proceedings, while screens featuring videos of the games in action may provide some audience members with some cherished memories of yesteryear.
Cat Spencer, a writer of the Soundtrack Gamer column, has reported to GamePeople on just why console fans should head along to one of these events, saying: "I wouldn't be overstating the case to say that I think Video Games Live is essential listening if you've been gaming for even a short while … It evokes wonderful images and nostalgic memories."
